Yin Yoga
Yoga is a sanskrit word which means ‘yoke’ or ‘union’.
It is the practise of breath control, meditation and postures which bring about a sense of physical well-being and relaxation whilst improving flexibility and bringing stillness to the mind.
Yoga is also a way to look inside and find our true selves, a way to explore the physical and spiritual connection. I teach Hatha, Yin, and Hot Yoga and allow each person to develop their own practice at their own pace.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced form of yoga where the postures are held for longer periods of time. This is done to stretch the connective tissues increasing circulation and improving flexibility. Yin yoga also improves energy flow. Being still in a pose can be meditative, giving you time and space to observe whatever is going on within.
