“In May this year I was lucky enough to have secured a place on Laila first retreat !
The group of powerful women I spent the time with were unique and special. We had all got our own motivation for wanting to take time out and Seaford proved the perfect place. The grounds are exceptional with many quiet spaces so you are able to be on your own for quiet reflection, reading, painting or meditating.
The Seven Sisters path is at the back of the garden and I even managed a morning dip in the sea (gloves and booties were required as it was bracing to say the least). There are excellent coastal bus services which my walking companion and I used as we were shattered and time pressed and needed to return home quickly so as not to miss the evening yoga and nidra practice.
The yoga sessions were a perfect balance of Yin and Yang so all practiotioners were catered for. Not to mention the food. As I have been on many retreats in my yoga journey, the vegetarian food can be quite hit and miss. Here however, it was delicate, refined and sophisticated and you felt like you were experiencing a ‘boujie’ foodie destination in Hackney rather than on the Sussex coast.
The yurt sessions were powerful and life changing and my lovely manifestation joutnal remains by my bed and i listen to my affirmations daily.
We had each brought concerns to Laila’s retreat or areas of our lives we wanted to change or be directed to. I myself had become stuck in a toxic work situation that I could not see a way out of.
I returned home and my work situation miraculously righted itself such that I had three interviews in one week. For me, I had changed the energy and cannot thank Laila enough as the catalyst for such a transformation.
Thank you thank you thank you.“
